AudioCast Cinema · Last updated 16 August 2026
AudioCast Cinema does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers in the app.
What the app does with your device
- Camera — used only to scan the QR code displayed in the screening hall, in order to read the address of the local audio server. Images are processed on the device in real time, are never stored, and never leave the device.
- Microphone — the app never records you. The permission exists because the audio engine (WebRTC) initialises a full audio session; iOS requires the declaration even when only playback is used.
- Local network — the app connects to an audio server running on the local Wi-Fi network of the screening hall to receive the soundtrack. Audio flows directly between that server and your phone.
Data leaving your device
None. The app sends no data to us or to anyone else. The operator of a screening sees only the technical information required to deliver an audio stream — an anonymous connection identifier and connection quality — which is not stored after the screening ends.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date.
